Randoms

The last photo happens to be my favorite, but the second last is also a favorite. This was fooling around with settings on my camera such as 'Autumn colors' and 'Macro' and focus.

Waterfalls

These photographs are of Trent river falls, a beautiful place. Basically I had just got my new camera and I was pretty excited to get a few pictures of the falls with slow aperature because it had always been my favorite kind of photos. Too bad the falls don't look as interesting as some waterfalls do, and getting in the water to get closer would've been a rediculous idea since the dam had just been let out soo... That was definently not going to happen. These were my favorites, they're not the best and I know I need a tripod but I tried my best right?

EMILY - Unnatural

These photos were particularily difficult to shoot because of the lack of light. Emily and I take everything out of her closet and open up this small hole in her floor which was pretty heavy and climb into this black abyss. There's one lightbulb for this whole little crawlspace and Emily is limited to a dress that's too big so we had to pin up the back with those paper clip things, you know, those big black squares with two random metal pieces sticking out? So this means that her back cannot be showing or else it would look a little silly... The creepy look we were going for was definently acheived in this small hole, but without the flash the shutter was quite slow so stillness was so necissary it was rediculous. By the end of it I was covered in sawdust trying to use myself as a tripod and laying in awkward positions. Overall we both liked the photos and Emily won her competition because of these photos and the Natural photos.

EMILY - Natural

So above we obviously have the natural photos, which were not only fun to take, but cold and tiring and terrifying for me since I was so horribly scared to drop my uncles camera in the water. He was watching with a keen eye as well. This shoot was tiring because we had to get up at 7 to go hike in to these waterfalls and then I had to take off my pants to make sure they didn't get soaked, and go basically waist high in the water at some points, although I'm glad I wasn't Emily and sitting under the waterfalls and whatnot. These photos are my favorites of her, and she loves them as well. I'm excited to do more photos with her.

EMILY - Vintage

The theme for this shoot was Vintage, and instead of going for a certain person like we did with my vintage shoot, we went for a vintage look with the modern housewife; cooking some lovely pies and sitting infront of their cute little houses. I particularly love the first photo, I think it's marvelous.

EMILY - Mad World

These photos were taken to portray a particular song, in this case they were taken for the song 'Mad World'. We decided to portray it in the life of a young girl, and these were our ideas =]

EMILY - Fairytale Gone Wrong

These photos go with my sleeping beauty being suicidal photos, in that Little Red Ridinghood killed the wolf in turn of him killing her. I love these photos, they were tons of fun and we got to feel not only like stalkers and murderers, but really cool because this patch of woods is so rediculously small that you can see plainly out of two sides of it, and we still made it look like thick woods. It was fun finding a few interesting angles in these photos. The last one is probably my favorite and I'm thinking it's because she looks like she's scared about killing big ol' mister wolf.

EMILY - Greed

So here we are with the seven deadly sins again, and the two of us were given greed (again) so we set up the same kind of thing as before, except with Emily as the greedy one and me as the photographer. I think I like Emily's set up better than mine because it's a little brighter outside rather than inside, and it makes it feel a little more greedy than in a dark room. Her facials are adorable! =]

EMILY - Marionette Puppet

The theme for this week was certain dolls or puppets, and we were given the theme marionette, and setting this up was so difficult, especially with the see-through short dress Emily couldn't get a ton of poses in. The strings were also difficult and finding a place to have the strings hang from was rediculous. I liked a few of them in the end though.

EMILY - Circus freak

This theme I didn't get to do which I'm a little jealous of, circus freak. Emily unwillingly had to go in public to take these photos, and I wish I had a tripod in the first and last ones because they would be perfect if I did. I loved these photos, and the preperation for these pictures was actually rediculous even though it doesn't look like a lot.

EMILY - Beauty Product

In these photos Emily and I were to portray a certain beauty item, ours was eyeshadow. We decided to go for bold, and turn Emily into a rockstar in these photos. She loved the outcome and had picture number 2 as her facebook profile picture for a very long time.

EMILY - Beautiful Insanity

You'll notice that basically all of these have the same theme as ones that are taken of me as well, but it's only because we were in the same competition. I love these photos, and I completely forgot about them up until I just looked through them. I'm pretty happy with the angles in all of them except the last one, that one could've been taken better, but the intentions were there.

EMILY - Auditions

Not only my first shoot of another person, but Emily's first photoshoot as well, so the angles aren't wonderful but atleast Emily is beautiful enough to make that not matter so much. Head to toes had to be showing, and the photos had to be pretty dead on with a white shirt and blue jeans. Needless to say pretty little Emily got in the competition.

Tree Dweller

These photos were Emily and my own inspired photos, we didn't do these for competition. The two of us were missing the photoshoot scene and I had a list of ideas and some extra time, so we took my new camera in the shrubs infront of her house and began shooting. The idea was initially we thought of doing a warrior kind of bush woman, which quickly changed into tribal paint and tree climbing. I decided to rename them the 'Tree Dweller' photo's, only because I don't think warrior really explains the photos. Bush woman might however...
